Selfie check-in: a photo on every punch
Buddy punching — one employee clocking in for another — is hard to prove from a GPS dot alone. With selfie verification, Dawmly's mobile app captures a photo when an employee clocks in or out, and admins can see that photo next to the punch.
What the employee does
On clock-in and clock-out the app opens the camera, takes a selfie and sends it with the punch. The photo is stored in Dawmly's file storage and attached to that attendance record.
What the admin sees
In the attendance punch list, each punch with a selfie shows the photo. A manager can review a questionable punch in seconds instead of chasing the employee for proof.
Optional, or required for everyone
Selfie capture can be left as an option, or you can switch on require selfie so a punch without a photo is not accepted. It is a company-level setting.
Photo review, not face matching
Selfie verification is photo capture for human review. Dawmly does not match faces and does not identify people from photos, so there is no biometric template to store or secure — an admin looks at the picture and decides.
Works with offline mode
A punch queued while the phone is offline is accepted even when selfie is required, because a photo cannot be uploaded without a connection. It syncs when the phone reconnects.
Included from Growth
Selfie verification is included from the Growth plan, starting at 100 EGP per employee per month (banded: 100/75/50, up to 1,000 employees). New signups get a 14-day Growth trial. See full pricing.
