Setting up attendance for a Saudi company: work week, timezone and exports
By Sayed Zakrea · 1 October 2026
To run attendance for a company in Saudi Arabia on Dawmly, set your company's timezone to Asia/Riyadh (UTC+3), choose your own work days, add your branches, create shifts, set overtime multipliers to your policy, and invite staff. Dawmly does not produce WPS salary files or integrate with Mudad, Qiwa or GOSI, so plan to export data for those systems.
Seven steps
- Create your company. The Free plan covers up to 5 employees with no credit card; new signups also get a 14-day Growth trial.
- Set country and timezone. Choose Saudi Arabia and the Asia/Riyadh timezone (UTC+3) so punches and reports use local time.
- Choose your work days. Work days are a company setting, so the work week can match how your company runs.
- Add branches and sites. Branches are unlimited from the Starter plan, with no per-branch charge. From the Growth plan you can add a geofence to each site.
- Create shifts. Build shift templates; overnight shifts are detected automatically. If hours change for a period, create a separate template for it.
- Set overtime to your policy. On the Growth plan you set the day, night, rest-day and holiday multipliers and the daily cap in payroll settings. The starting defaults are 135% day and 170% night, so change them to match your policy and local rules.
- Invite your team. The employee app and dashboard run in full right-to-left Arabic and in English. Phone numbers use the +966 country code.
